They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><em>Luke 24, 50-54<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Author and Biblical theologian<strong>\u00a0Dr. Scott Hahn<\/strong>\u00a0explains the connection between the Lord &#8216;s Ascension and the Solemnity of the Pentecost.\u00a0 The Ascension is the preliminary feast that directs the Church\u2019s attention forward to Pentecost. On that day, salvation will be complete; for salvation is not simply expiation for sins (that would be wonderful enough), but it is something even greater than that.
